Urbain(es) 2022 — Acrylics on cutout wood, 4.5 × 2.5 m. Commissioned by La Condition Publique and Danysz Gallery, Roubaix. Curated by Magda Danysz.
Part of an exhibition examining women's relationship to public space — how women artists claim shared urban territory, and how the female figure is introduced into street work regardless of the artist's gender. Twenty-seven artists, a hundred works across 1,500 square metres of a former industrial hall in Roubaix. The piece submitted was a hermaphrodite figure on cutout wood, the body marked with butcher chart writings — the lines that divide a carcass into commercial cuts mapped onto a human form. The body as commodity. Difference as something to be weighed, priced, and sold.
