Afreaka Festival 2016 — Acrylics on wall, approx. 5 × 3 m. Afreaka Festival, Bexiga, São Paulo.

Painted in Bexiga — São Paulo's historic Afro-Brazilian neighbourhood, built by freed slaves in the late 19th century and still a centre of samba, candomblé, and African diasporic memory. A raised hand surrounded by watching eyes: the hand reaching, the eyes bearing witness. Commissioned as part of Afreaka Festival's programme connecting African artists with Brazil's African diaspora communities.
